Katherine Heigl recently spoke out about her childhood living in "a the white bubble." The actress also discusses how that realization has affected her parenting of adopted children that are multiracial. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in an interview recently that -- when it came to the color of her skin, it wasn't a factor for her how she looked like when she was younger, but once she talked about her sister's age, whom she adopted to South Korea, she realized that society was different when it came to each of the two. If I asked Meg about how she was treated when in public, with or without our parents, she said it was different. She said, 'Oh, yes, every time!' That made me realize that I was naive," Heigl said to her parents. The actor said she became frustrated, but decided use that anger to help adopt her daughters. Heigl has a four year old son with her 13-year husband, Josh Kelley. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 years old in 2009. followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old older and was Black in 2012.
